I am a king of honour, gold and glory, but every king must also die

Today is National No Smoking Day, or so Classic FM told me in between its bombardment of dreadful adverts. A day that's too often ignored. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/3497170.stm

I'm sure they played something interesting this morning. Oh yes, it was "Solvieg's Song", the piece that Kamelot's "Forever" was based on. So that made my half-hour half-daze that I have to allow myself every morning even better.

Once proud and full of passion, we formed a better world

For seven hours this week I have been trapped in a nightmare from which I could not awaken. I am, of course, referring to the computing practical. I knew I would regret it when on Sunday I said that it "didn't seem too bad".

However, it is now over and done with, and Kytheraen (whose name I managed to spell correctly on only the third or fourth go) has informed me that the Union now has Dancing Stage Euromix 2 <¦-D My solution to the practical _almost_ worked, as well.

Although I am already beginning to regret putting "badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger mushroom mushroom" down as a test case.

We fought against oppression and wisdom was our sword

The long-awaited meeting with the duty warden has taken place. Unfortunately, it wasn't a chance to talk to someone like Kenny or Sam, but Amanda, one of the people slightly lower down in the wardenial team. I don't think she could really do anything directly about any of the issues I raised, but she promised that she would pass it on to the higher management at their next meeting (to which I might be invited as well). After a while I began to feel rather sorry for her.

But this, I think, will be a step in getting ourselves heard rather than just complaining among ourselves. I gave her Chris's little essay to look through - after having fled to Canada I don't think there's much that they can do to him <¦-)

Now that's over for now, and I'm rather exhausted from this practical as well, in fact, and I haven't had dinner. Being a freedom fighter isn't easy, you know.
