Although I just watched that clip you linked to, and seeing the Doctor's explanation again made me think of one question. Ok, so he says "you can't kill a stone" or something to that effect. But what if you knock the statue over or smash off its arm or its head or something. Can it come after you in pieces? Does it pull itself back together when you turn away? Suddenly, it doesn't seem quite so sinister, because now I have Monty Pythonesque visions of an armless, legless angel going on about biting people's ankles. I guess I'm going to have to start defacing statues just to be safe.
