This is actually why I realized I dislike multiple choice answers marked by a machine... it necessitates such a binary right/wrong decision, whereas when you (over)think about some answers as I frequently do, you could argue that an answer deemed to be wrong is actually closer to the truth. You can NEVER cross the double yellow lines... but what if there's a ten car pile-up in your lane and you're frantically driving away from a pursuing tyrannosaurus? I think an exception could be made in that case, so is it "only if you have to"? Or is it what the driver's manual strictly says?
