Ah, I thought you meant earlier that you had seen the entire game before - nice to have given you that surprise! It's exaggerated, too, by how innocent and nonviolent EGA usually is - I noticed this in Ben Croshaw's adventures as well, where some of the sprite work really sickened me but I never found 3D horror game body parts disturbing at all.
After looking at all this, I can definitely identify things that the second game does better (a bit more of a gradually escalating sense of dread, some actual goals as to when to be at certain times to observe meetings) but some a lot worse (freedom to investigate as the clock runs, racism).
