I don't know what inspired me to report it like that, but I can't tell you how happy I was that the first comment acknowledged recognizing it! I even looked it up on Youtube to get the punctuation right.
Augh. :S Water and/or (if you can stomach it) cranberry juice, and just take it easy.
I hope this whole thing hasn't put you off sushi entirely - it can be really nice, when things like this don't result. Take care, and get well soon, yeah?
I do love sushi, to a lot of people's surprise as I suppose they think I'm used to... blander foods - in fact, though from Japan, it's one of my favourite things about America. (Can you get it anywhere in Britain? I don't think I'd ever seen it before.)
I'm sure I'll enjoy it again at some point, but just now it may be a while before I can look at it...! It's possible that this new affliction (which has since been rediagnosed to a stone) was just waiting to spring up anyway, but the association's still going to be there.
There are many, many sushi places in London, for a start. A friend of Kathryn is starting a sushi preparation teaching business. Or something like that. Maybe it's her spare time...
I feel the regrettable need to direct you to the wikipedia entry for YO! Sushi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YO!_Sushi).
Oh yeah, it's available round here - I usually get mine from Tesco (as e_to_the_ipi already mentioned), although admittedly the majority of my experience with it has been made fresh, when I've visited wolfekko in the past. My first experience with it was in America too, though, when I went to Hawai'i. I guess it's not gone mainstream yet here - it's around, but nowhere near as prevalent as, say, balti houses or fish-and-chip shops.
