Five years
It's been four years and 364 (and a half) days since we got married, and we're off to Vermont to have a spa weekend together. It's going to be interesting to see if I can actually have a relaxing weekend away without anybody falling over or setting themselves on fire.

I hope you both have an excellent time, and that no-one gets set on fire. :P

(Not that you don't still have to come down to Dust Hill A and hang out with me sometime, of course.)

That is most definitely not the point, though. Congratulations! I really don't know Whitney but I gather from you that she's pretty great, so I feel qualified to officially designate you a Good Couple - yes, I do get sentimental about these things on anniversaries.
I believe, after a hasty Google search and a site full of ads, that the traditional fifth anniversary gift is supposed to be "wood", which is probably the most charming and yet most easily abusable of the lot. The modern one is "silverware" but as I'm sure there are better anniversary presents than knives and forks, the site also has such helpful recommendations for each year as "airline tickets" "cruise" and "beach vacation" - I'm sure "spa weekend" would have been a suggestion if they'd actually been trying.
And just so you know in advance, next year's suggestion is "Candy", "Iron" or "Disney World". You could set up an elaborate celebration in which each all three are presented!
Because I've spent most of this being silly I feel the need to mention again that I really am pleased for the two of you - in general, but a yearly milestone seems as good a time to mention it as any.
