I appear to have got into the top comments of a Portal 2 video on EA's channel claiming to contain gameplay but instead showing the introduction to the multiplayer, by writing the comment "The gameplay is a lie...".

I am suitably ashamed of myself.

Yes, when looking at the sense of humour on the Internet, I wonder why I worry about making my videos all that entertaining when I could gain instant fame by uploading myself saying "burn your house down with lemons" on a fifteen-minute loop.

A lot of people seem to be rediscovering these programmes through that account, and I love that - though unfortunately, the standard of some of the comments on the Look and Read videos seem to indicate that the programme didn't really help most of its viewers.

As far as psychedelic children's programming goes, though, I think I'll stick to PythagoraSwitch, a Japanese program whose name comes from what they call Rube Goldberg Machines/Heath Robinson Contraptions.

Oh, that's beautiful :) I think I saw some of those in the age before Youtube when dinosaurs walked the earth, passed around on my university's message boards. I could seriously watch hours of that even now - just... pointless, wonderful things.

There's something very... wrong with the Internet when anonymity leads this to be the level of conversation that we expect. In the digital age more than ever, perhaps people need to have more stringent lessons in not being a dickhead.

When entertaining next to a monkey enclosure, one must expect the occasional rain of feces.
Youtube is an excellent tool for its free-ness, its ease of use and its visibility... but all three of those things conspire to attract idiots, idiots and more idiots. Knowing that doesn't make it easy to tolerate, of course. I try to laugh about it all... but sometimes it's just offensive.
