The fight has begun!

After discovering that both the lower common room and computer suite have been locked up because of people eating in them, I've decided to finally do something about the laughable way that this hall is run rather than just complaining amongst ourselves. Dr Kenneth Royce Moore (Esquire) has now received two less than cheerful e-mails from me, but has yet to reply. I'm looking forward to that, even though I resisted the temptation to sign my name as David X Kenneth Henjo-Richter Newton as I suggested earlier in the chatroom. And if this gets through to him, there are so many other issues to bring up as well. We'll see how it goes.

I was down at Liying's room yesterday evening for the first time in a while, after she called me about not understanding her Chemistry work. After taking her through her tutorial she got me to try some Chinese snack food that her mother had sent her - apparently it doesn't ever really go off. Some of it was actually quite nice, but there are some things made out of bits of the sea that were really never meant to be eaten. I certainly tried some strange things down there, but I swallowed like a man. (Read whatever you like in to that.)

So seaweed, yeah? Lovely stuff. You should try the fresh, non-dried version called Laverbread from Wales. Gorgeous, esp mixed with oats and dry fried with a little bacon and eggs on the side.

Mmmmm....

Gods, I miss Welsh food...

What did the email say?

You can't use both Dr and Esquire. It would have to be either "Dr Kenneth Royce Moore" or "Kenneth Royce Moore, Esq., Ph.D.".

Glad to see you're taking a stand. Huzza!

I am glad that you are trying new things. One day I will get you to like sushi. It has little "bits of the sea" all over it, in fact it is just rice and sea things (oh the yumminess). I have always thought it was strange that asian foods seem beyond you and yet you are so into east asian everything else. I will ponder this some more.

Also, I am glad you are taking a stand against the hallway! You have been complaining for too long for you not to take a stand. Power to the people, we shall overcome and all that. (I really just don't want it to be all noisy when I come to visit.)

Go you- you should have complained ages ago. Fucktard golfers. And bloody, bloody Melville management. Things never change, do they- it seems exactly the same as it was when I lived there three years ago.
