Paul! You're going to love this.

Proper update about the ceilidh tomorrow when I'm less knackered.

A search for "fire" in WinAmp yielded this. Stupid fire alarm. And it was bound to be caused by someone doing something idiotic like having a barbecue in their room. To be honest I had a feeling that it was going to go off tonight because of the ball last evening, but I didn't expect it so early in the morning.

Last night for me and many others, though, involved the castle ceilidh, which was great fun - I hadn't been to one in ages, and I got a chance to wear that blue shirt I like so much. There were a couple of dances that I'd never seen before, so I was just as lost as everyone else for a while - although the one where you join hands, try and untangle yourselves then run off and try and find another group before the music gets back to the start is a good one.

After that was the torchlit procession down to the pier and back. It took ages to get the torches going, but it was quite an amazing sight watching everyone in front go down along the pier and back. I wasn't expecting the top level of the pier to be quite so thin and handrail-less, but I can usually walk fairly reliably in a straight line, so it didn't present too much of a problem.

And after going to bed fairly late, I was awoken by the fire alarm, letting me complete one forum cycle before I had even had breakfast.

I saw this comment on Modplug. Fortunately it wasn't on one of my own works, as I can't make head nor tail of it. "That´s is a very hugry track, if U think that this musick are the movie to AMIGA about´s 90 and is all DJ is do. true a haapy music can run over the navigator"

Must work today, even though it's meant to be a holiday.

At least lunch was nice. Now to start on the last computer science practical this year!
