Update from the Electronic Graveyard

I have just received via e-mail two LJ comments that were posted two months ago. Does that often happen to people?

The computer count in my room has now reached eight, with the addition of my brother's Pentium 3 that performs worse than my P2 laptop. I've been given the task of clearing it up (something that could be achieved by FORMAT C:) to restore it to the machine that it once was. Actually, I seem to recall mentioning that I would do something to it at about the same time last year. I can't really check, though, because it's when you go back to find a specific LJ entry that you realise just how unhelpful having dodgy power metal lyrics as subject lines is. (That sentence made sense, I'm fairly sure.)

I was called in to work unexpectedly today. Yes, I'm on 24 hour emergency cutlery-wrapping callout.
