I don't think I mentioned that I won £4 from the go-kart type game in the Union last week. Hooray for me. Anyway, my latest essay masterpiece, "The Use of Formal Methods in Software and Hardware Design, Implementation and Manufacture", is now all but complete. It's about 2500 words long (but as you can see, a large proportion of those are in the title) but it still seems a bit short to me as there are only 500 words in each of the five sections. Maybe I can use some more case studies from the ZZZ Book.

The rest of the practicals are being fired at us fairly quickly, but for the first time in a while I left the JCB today with a semi-working program (though my solution so far is one of the most cumbersome that I've ever made). I also have to think up a databaseable scenario to do for the course - doing a bank, library or video rental store would feel like cheating a little because those are the three examples that are used repeatedly in every database course in the history of the world ever.

Outside of class, I've been phoning around trying to find a room for next year, but have achieved no results so far apart from the slight irradiation of my ear caused by the mobile phone. However, at the same time, my parents are trying to buy a flat near St Andrews at the same time - they've already tried and narrowly missed out on getting a flat in Cupar. If Whitney and I could live somewhere owned by my parents, that would be fantastic. In fact, Richard is messaging me about another one now:

[20:21:54] Richard N: Da's trying to arrange viewing in Cupar STOP
[20:22:09] Richard N: Have enclosed half of my mustache STOP

I'm really not sure what to say about that, apart from to point out that for him, that's entirely normal.
