King's Quest V Abridged
Jan. 12th, 2010 08:21 pmHere's something I got from the unwieldily-titled GameFAQs Classic Gaming board - a condensed summary of King's Quest V, acted rather better than the game itself, from a group I've never heard of called Excalibur Enterprises.
Part 1
The thrilling conclusion
They'll only really make sense if you've attempted to play the game and know how monumentally irritating the whole thing is, but there's an instant charm in hearing all the characters voiced in a selection of the sillier of the British accents. The Cedric impression is quite annoyingly good.
It's also brought to my attention that I was trying to use the bag of peas on the Blue Beast (yes, this is the solution to a puzzle) in the wrong room - knowing that I was meant to do it there, when it seems to advance upon you slowly instead of running out of the corridor in the organ room and frightening you to bits before you have a chance to react, might have helped me get to the end without giving up.
