Oh, it's 10pm and I haven't broken my streak yet - better think up another house update.

Things have calmed down a lot since the beginning of the house buying process, though Whitney has been busier than I have (our agent doesn't tend to copy emails to me). What we've had to do over the last week is to gather up a heap of different documents - some that had to be signed by us, some that we had to send on to the sellers or to the condominium association - and then send them all on to be placed in an increasingly titanic folder at the bank. We got the last of those forms emailed in today and will be picking up the original copies on Monday, but our mortgage agent considerately decided to go on holiday this week so we won't know if anything needs corrected until then either.

The Great Curtain Wars were brought to an end by the sellers announcing that they were going to take their rods but leave the brackets stuck on to the walls, as they're technically the only parts of the arrangements that are nailed down and therefore considered part of the house. When you get to this stage, it's best to just let things go.

Doorknob-viewing tomorrow, hooray.
