I find cooking in another country one of the trickiest things. I once tried to make cheesecake in Germany - that was tricky. But here, even now I wonder about which colour of brown sugar I should be using, and all the other weird variations on staple ingredients. But in Canada, red cherries are glace, or maraschino so I imagine the cultural differences with the US are even greater than the ones I face!
