Summer has arrived shortly after a non-existent winter this year. And I will say one thing for America (so savour it while you can) - they really, really got the idea of miniature golf.


(The logo of this place, which is a golf ball wearing a Tam o' Shanter... well, I'm less sure how I feel about that.)

I love mini golf. The crap at Codona's is just nothing compared to mini golf anywhere else :(

Well, we had to find SOME use for windmills in this country. :b

I don't think I've actually ever played it there, but... well, if it's shabby enough, it sounds like it fits in with Codona's in general :) The one I remember most was a crazy golf course in Huntly near the Nordic Ski Centre, and that was really a putting green with various wooden cut-out props strewn around it. My first living memory of putting is of trying to aim a ball through the mouth of a startled badger.

This one surprised me with how sober it was - it was like an actual golf course in miniature, with a walk around an Astro-Turf course on a hill among trees that had been manicured to look like the kinds of things that grow in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. But all golf should involve windmills and obstacles like that - do you want to see Tiger Woods win with a 128-point lead yet again, or hang on the edge of your seat as he lines his 20th shot up through the rotating ducks?
