davidnWe spent our afternoon furthering my continuing endeavour to make everyone else at work a bit fatter than I am:
The process:
Dough circles ready for cooking
They go into a huge boiling vat of oil for one minute on each side.
If you get the order of your photography wrong, they have a tendency to multiply through binary fission like amoeba.
Once cooked, they look almost healthy until you make the last additions.
Jam preparation...
Jam deployment
Adding a sugar coating
And they're ready to be eaten.
The last time I brought these in, I was seriously asked if my wife was a professional pastry chef... they're extremely popular. But remember, if you feel like doing this, don't forget to consult your doctor first.
