I want to know that story too :D But... wow - what a thing to have as your first ever memory. There are things that we think as children because people don't tell us the full context, and they never think to because it's so obvious to them... you just open it up to get the coins back. The nearest thing I can think of happening to me is seeing this when I was very young and being terrified of it - there was no stated indication that the contestants were really all right once they went through!
