I think I'm over the worst of it now. I really thought of going to see my doctor, but I feel a lot better than I did yesterday (i.e. not undead) and it was pointed out to me that I was very unlikely to get a same-day appointment anyway. How does that make sense? You have to give them a day's notice of when you're going to be ill?

It was just after lunch that I realised that I didn't actually feel all that bad any more - maybe it was just eating that did it. I was somewhat surprised to find that I'd grown about three days' worth of beard overnight - does being ill do that to you? I still slept until dinner, and I now only have a mild headache. As for lectures tomorrow, well, I'll see.

Virtual XI is a great album to listen to when you're ill. I think it's because of all the repetition in it.

Perhaps your body decided it wanted to grow a beard, and transferred all available power to the hair-growing muscles, and they drew energy away from your immune system, thus rendering you vulnerable to plague.

It's a clever ploy. If it's nothing, you'll have recovered. If it's serious, you'll call an ambulance. Either way, it saves them effort. See? It's just like being a student.

maybe you are going through strange growing pains? anyway, you didn't email me, and i was sad because i checked email to make sure you weren't dying. i am glad you have stopped being pathetic. and you should email me so italy doesn't feel lonely and i know you are still around. how was black books btw?
