I just remembered something - the world's going to end again this year, according to the Bible code or something like that. Apparently it's had quite a decent record of being right, but then, so did Petre de Notredame and we're all still here. So as long as we try and keep the planet together for another 365 days we'll all have achieved the considerable accolade of living through three apocalypses - that's a decent target for the year, I feel. That and completing Treasure Tower.

wasn't is supposed to end in 2005 already? or does that bible code predict the end of the world for 2 different dates?
and wasn't there also people thinking it would end with the millenium? which of course would have been another 2 dates, cause most people thought the millenium was 2000, and then they all found out it was 2001. dunno about you, but i'm sure looking forward to the world ending once again. =p

The Bible's said the world's going to end about 5 times which have already passed. Oh well. People should get over it. They say that these things have a record of being right, it's things like, it'll say in the code "o rvil mam nmd hissr" and they'll go "OMG 'AN EVIL MAN NAMED HITLER'!!! ITS SO ACCURATE!!!111"

Does anybody remember waiting for the world to end in July 1999? All the TV was about it. All that Nostridamus stuff. Then they say Nostridamus predicted something which happened last year. How could he have said something would happen in 2005 if he said the world was going to be dead by then?

Yes, I remember that - I think it was Channel 4 that had a Nostradamus Night in celebration of it.

When the Daily Mail wrote an article about the Bible Code, Private Eye responded by picking out "The Daily Mail is pisspoor" from the same passage.
