Icon Worship

Two pieces of good news recently, in that my replacement pendrive has arrived (this time with a decent-sized keyring attachment so I won't lose it), and my car radio has stopped asking for a "COdE" after I was provided with one by my "mUM".

To my astonishment I was tagged to do a meme about a week ago and I still haven't got round to it. Instead, I'm going to invent one of my own, containing just enough LJness to be feasible, just enough interactivity to be passable, and just enough niceness to... be nice, I suppose. I call it "Icon Worship".

Reply to this post with one or more of your LJ icons, and I'll say what I think about it, what it reminds me of, or what it means to me.

Then copy this into your own journal and propagate it all round the Internet so that I can be smug about having started it.

1. I think bees are all right, actually. At least they have two definite reasons for existence - namely making honey and being a physical impossibility. It's the wasps that serve no useful purpose and should be exterminated forthwith.

2. This looks to me like a cat head containing several other cat heads. I'm at a bit of a loss to describe it further except to say that it fits you.

3. I'm slightly unclear as to what this is - a Neopet? I never really got into them, though many people in the communities I visited in first and second year were.

4. This is from Questionable Content, a comic strip that I was pointed at by e_to_the_ipi last year. I haven't read it in a while, but I should, as it was unusually engaging for a webcomic. And Pintsize is rather adorable (though I admit my reading has been so infrequent that I had to be reminded of his name).

5. I have seen this icon before. I don't know where it is from. I don't know why it exists. I don't know what it is trying to say. All I know is that it is vastly unsettling.

1. it should really say fuckbees, as opposed to fuck bees. i love bees. but fuckbees is an expression i use sometimes... like someone says crap, or damn. fuckbees.

Aha. I use several words of my own invention, as the situation demands, but try not to do it when anyone might hear and think me slightly strange.
