That line is immensely appropriate for the upcoming exams - if I don't get revising soon, I certainly will be a failure.

Anyway, the barbecue. In a stroke of genius, I forgot to bring the food that I had bought for it, so before Greebo arrived at the union to pick us up I just went in to Tesco's and got some more. I now have two packs of pringles and some cheap Tesco lemonade in my cupboard.

After being dropped off in the wrong place and wandering around the grounds for a while, we found everyone else thanks to Chris reminding us of the philosophy of "when in doubt, turn right". A makeshift game of Twister was arranged by Oli, with labels from bottles, various colours of flowers, and so on. Rachel started an impromptu Strip the Willow, with no music, which ended after half the people disappeared in the middle of it.

The rain came on, as is traditional at British barbecues, so we retreated to the sheds. After finishing off the meat, we amused ourselves by setting marshmallows on fire, with Oli wafting the barbecue with a tray to create an impressive shower of sparks. I had to stand back in case my 100% inflammable trousers caught one and I dissolved in a puddle of boiling flesh (ooh, nasty). Unsurprisingly, Oli was announced by James as the new webmaster. May his reign be long and prosperous (- Civ).

We wandered through the woods to the boathouse, we lit some candles and had some tuneless singing accompanied by Paul and Niall on the guitars, while Chris and I stood in the corner and talked about important matters such as BBC Micro games, music and Tom and Jerry.

After that, we stumbled through the darkness to the house again - with Anna leading the way by candlelight - to watch the most excellent Rocky Horror Picture Show, with Paul providing the call-backs and Donald doing the actions. Amazingly we found enough space for us all to do the Time Warp in the cramped room. Then, after another walk in the pitch blackness, it was back home to the Hall.

Well done to Oli for organising such a great evening. And now I've got some serious downloading to do. I mean "revision".

This one sounds a bit like Road Rash on the Genesis, in fact.

I'm still not feeling good - think I'll head to bed soon and try and sleep it off. Meanwhile, here are some more gems from the chatroom.
