Piet Sielck really needs some new metaphors.
It was a pretty good night out - we picked up more people throughout the crawl. Went up to Drouthy's to start off with - hadn't been there in a while. The 'fortune teller' plan was abandoned within roughly four minutes, though, and we just decided on our own route instead - which was to Lafferty's where we were useless at the games machine, The Central, then after a pizza from Peter's which was inadequately cut and fell to pieces, we ended up at the Union.
People have failed to convince me to drink throughout the year, which still surprises my parents for some reason, so I adhered strictly to Anna's rule of drinking one pint of water in each pub (although I was just about ready to burst by the end of it).
As for the air-hockey situation, I beat Richard 2-1 after he destroyed me in the last game, and lost a very close match to Chris. I think I might be getting my skill at the game back... I can't tell you the scores because I honestly don't remember them, I've got enough trouble trying to remember which way round alpha- and beta-glucose are. The table is getting even worse now, with a very bad patch at the far end on the right.
And I won £3 from the Pharoah's Tomb game (so there, Richard). I'm pretty sure the last section of it is fixed, so it's more down to luck than anything else... The score now stands at: Me £4 - £5 The Machine, which isn't a bad result if you ask me.
I don't really remember the smoke being too bad last night, but I've got a pretty sore throat this morning and my T-shirt doesn't smell too nice... don't know why people choose to smoke anyway. I'll never understand you humans.
As is getting usual, I left slightly early with Paulette and Chris. This time I was manufacturing Knightmare forum pictures - ("Ooh, nasty!") and ("0WN3d!") are now done, though I don't know about the WordArtiness of the second one. They're .TXTified to exploit the biggest loophole in the Angelfire block. Strange - a year ago, using anything that included the word "0WN3D!" would have been completely alien to me. It's been a strange year, and just a week to go now.
Unfortunately, that week includes two exams. I've decided that learning organic mechanisms is totally impossible, so I'm just going to try to remember as many formulae as I can cram in to my skull and see if that gets me through it.
