davidn: (good)
I thought that no one would beat the Campino adverts for sheer cringe-inducing awfulness, but now the stripey sweet has finally been surpassed by Currys. Of course, if everyone made adverts in the same league as Honda and Irn-Bru, television would be a more boring place.

I counted the change in my coppers jar while tidying my room (I still can't get the desk clear). There were exactly 23 2ps and 23 1ps - it's an omen.

Thanks mainly to Paul, I've got back to finding and collecting retro games, hoarding them on my hard drive like a dragon (a dragon constructed from ASCII characters). I found Electranoid after I mentioned it on his LJ... have now reached the fifty-third level... and just now rediscovered Terra Fire, a rather good sort of 2D version of Descent.

...I'm wasting my life.

Still, it was St Andrews again today. Once again it didn't seem like I'd left at all, even though I wasn't there for long - instead, Amanda, Iain, Paul, James and myself attempted to go ice skating, but finding it closed changed to bowling. After that, we went to watch Pirates of the Carribean - not a bad film at all, though it seemed a bit "Monkey Island: The Movie" in places. Or maybe that's what made it good. Line of the film was "Stop blowing holes in my ship!"

I bought an immense pack of Skittles. Even now I can hear my teeth screaming at me in agony, despite the fact that they don't possess any lungs, vocal chords or any sort of screaming apparatus of their own at all.
