Oct. 16th, 2003 11:13 pmI did it. I survived the tutorial with the most dangerous man in Chemistry, and endured three hours of boiling up vague yellow stuff, but now I'm pretty much home free for the week.
Tonight was a good night - we went out for dinner at the Grill House rather than staying in and eating Melville food for a change. I decided I'd better order something a bit more classy than a pizza this time, and chose the Grill House Chicken as recommended by Paul. Lovely! (clank, clank)
After that it was karaoke night - had two goes on DDR with Paul in quick succession, which wore us both out, then sang the Time Warp with Marco. Now, I couldn't hear myself singing, but I don't think I'm too terrible at it - apparently Donald hears me occasionally through the wall, and he hasn't asked to be moved out yet, so I can't be that bad. I'd rather like to do Center of the Universe, but sadly they didn't have room for it among the mindless drivel on the list. Not that it's all bad, mind you, there are a couple of good ones.
I left soon after the performance - the Union smoke is beginning to bother me less these days, as it's just so much worse in Aberdeen. Had a rather nice talk in the chatroom as well.
As I said, there is still something bothering me just now. I don't want to say it here yet, I'll probably wait a while and spring it on you suddenly.
But for now, it feels like the end of term or something. I've only got three events tomorrow - Computing, Chemistry, and Bus Home. A weekend of listening to a couple of new Gamma Ray albums and playing Soul Calibur 2. Oh, and seeing my family as well, of course.
The Union needs this.
No doubt having to work again on Monday will come as a bit of a shock...
