Oh, it's a fight you'll never win
Nov. 20th, 2003 10:14 amHah, 6-0 to Holland.
As Chris would say:

Anyway, I'm back in my CS tutor's good books again, as he gave me a 4/4 for the latest practical mark. But tutorials with him are still like fighting off a tidal wave of gibberish - he never gives straight answers, it's like talking to The Architect from the end of Matrix 2. And he couldn't tell left from right either, but then neither can my dad.
I got the practical finished for the week as well, I usually don't manage that until Friday. I'll admit it - I'm thinking of asking out someone that I know through my CS classes, but have no idea when or indeed how to do it. Damn my astronomical level of insecurity.
Chris and I went to the Union last night, and met a few others I know there as well. We left Venue One when Scotland were three-nil down and went over to the games room.
I beat Ranking Three. The end guy was hard. I finished with a 720 combo and a AAA ranking. </boasting> Even better, I've worked out how to use the high score table - you have to step on the tiles (Left, Down or Up for some reason) when the column of letters passes the right place on the screen. So now "DXZ" (yes, I messed up the last letter but it looks like an "N" on its side at least) is at the top of the high scores.
It's such a shame that Chris is leaving. Still, we've got the meal tonight to look forward to.
