davidn: (good)
Let me just start by saying how much I hate the people on my corridor. I was woken up at three in the morning by a shouted conversation taking place seemingly right outside my door, about who had slept with whom (Donald, I need grammatical help here) and so on. It sounds ludicrous coming from me, but at that stage I was just ready to go out there and smack him one. Fortunately I've calmed down since then, and I don't have any violent tendencies normally. Mwuhaha. *twitch*

I have now been away from the Internet for fully 24 hours - I first switched off my computer yesterday morning when it crashed when I was trying to open the CD player. Giving up, I went to the Computing lecture which essentially consisted of Mike concluding that he didn't want to give a lecture. After hanging around for a bit, the Chemistry tutorial came next.

It was a bit of a job finding that, as it was rearranged about three times within the space of ten minutes. When we finally got to Theatre D, Graeme was talking about the chances of Dr Richens spontaneously combusting. And of course, Dr Richens then came in and started talking about spontaneous human combustion, so it was a challenge for all of us to keep our respective straight faces.

Then came the four hours of presentations. Some of it was quite entertaining, though the questioning at the end was brutal. I was just glad to get it over with, really. After asking Dr Aitken what he thought of it, he replied "Aye, it was OK" which is probably the highest praise anyone has ever received from him.

Roughly three minutes after getting back in to Melville, Ally suggested going to see Return of the King, so I went along.

This doesn't have any spoilers but I'm going to cut it anyway. )

Things to do today: Hand in lab reports, that's it. I know they're not of the highest quality, but Dr Richens will just have to live with it, I'm afraid.

"I am the Savior - my heart is made of metal!"
