...days and months. It took me a couple of times to make any sense of that lyric.

As I travel around various forums, stuck in the cycle of checking all the boards on my Favourites list and then checking them again because something might have changed since I started, I'm starting to be recognised by people who visit more than the one community - someone on the TDC sent me fan mail about my mods this morning. It won't be long before I become one with the Internet.

Here's an amazing coincidence for the day: Kate told me yesterday that he's the granddaughter of Peter Sykes, the author of "A Primer to Mechanism in Organic Chemistry", which helped me fake my way through many a difficult tutorial last semester. And indeed, she's mentioned on the dedication page.

First exam result is in! I needed an 11, and got 14.3 for CH2101, the exam that I was more worried about. And it's not far off an MChem grade, either.

So, after receiving the news about the exam results, four of us headed in to Dundee - Kate, me, Bryn and Paul.

Unfortunately I didn't manage to perform another spectacular fall during ice skating, in fact I managed to stay vertical throughout, which is some achievement when there are experienced skaters zooming around all over the ice playing tag with each other. I think they were rather annoying Bryn, in fact - think of my corridor-mates, but ice skating instead of golfing. Wonder how they would skate in the corridor. Actually, don't answer that D-¦>

After a less than nutritious meal at the KFC, we trekked to Tesco and back (playing DDR along the way, naturally, and adding a score each to dominate the top four slots of the records) then went in to the cinema to see Big Fish - I typed "Sigh" at first and I have no idea why.

Most of it is funny and surreal... I began to enjoy it a lot more once I'd dashed out to buy some water, as I was rather boiling. The ending was powerful and very moving, though - there were certainly quite a few tissues out in the audience. As for myself, I had to revert to my tactic of thinking about Dieter Bohlen's laughable guitar playing.

I received more appreciation mail in the evening, which inflated my already considerable ego so much that I now have difficulty fitting my head out the door of my room. I should probably go to bed early, as my family's visiting in the morning. Gulp.
