Queen are weird.
In another moment of genius, I remembered that the BMS building has a lift. So if I change my route to Chemistry slightly by going in through the other door (nearer to AMH, as it happens) I can take the lift up rather than climbing the many flights of stairs to the top floor of Chemistry to get to my locker just before lab sessions. Unfortunately that does mean that I've lost one of the few remaining uses I have for my legs, which may start to wither away before too long. The solution is to play more DDR, of course.
The lab was spent counting different coloured atoms on a computer screen. It was great. Unfortunately we then had to perform calculations on graphs generated from X-ray reflections of them, but you can't have everything.
