St Andrews awaits!
Sep. 17th, 2004 09:52 pmComing home from work today felt oddly like the start of a holiday rather than the end of one, what with finishing work, the sun having its hat on, and being about to pack and leave for St Andrews. The packing itself soon got rid of my good mood, however, because of the sheer amount of things that have to go with me. I never realised just how much I took last year, and with the things from my parents that I made sure to gratefully accept but in reality will never make it out of the bottom of my cupboard, the load is fairly hefty. It's just as well we've got two cars.
I've spent most of this evening trying to puzzle out my timetable for the first semester (woefully "explained" in an email from my new advisor). My forthcoming classes don't look too bad - I have some light days and some heavy days, but more importantly, no 9 o'clock starts any more at all. All that remains is to see what the practicals look like. Oh dear.
Before that, though, there is Freshers' Week. Well, I'll see you all tomorrow (and yes, dunqn - I am going to be in "the damn union"!)
