zephyr_pie (who was around in the ZZT community at about the same time that I was hanging on to its edges), also moved into the area for a mission placement. I had absolutely no idea where exactly he was, largely because of completely forgetting that he had a separate mission journal for the purpose, but his access to it was limited already - I only heard from him again yesterday when he got back to Utah.
To illustrate our relative positions in the Boston area, a cut-out from Google Maps is necessary. This is the building where I spent most of the week until we moved out of it recently, that I moaned about so much when our company had an office there even though I acknowledged that the places around there for lunch were pretty good. The zoom level of this map is slightly closer than you might think would be needed for illustrative purposes, but the reason for that will become apparent shortly.
Because here's a similar map showing wherezephyr_pie was for a significant portion of the last year, with little email access, contact with the outside world or knowledge that his position was at all remarkable.
