Flexible English
Jan. 5th, 2010 04:25 pmFurther to my review yesterday, I typed the apparent lyrics for Lost in Your Eyes from the Carpe Diem booklet into a difference tool to compare them with the ones that I made up when I heard the sample track (which I still maintain are rather a lot closer to what is actually being sung).

Note that the lyrics on the two sides make just about the same amount of sense - and this is for one of the simpler songs... I think the highlights are reducing "begins" to one syllable and pronouncing "forward" with enough emphasis on the second one to make it rhyme with "long". This man does to English what a hook and a 1-ton weight do to an IRN-BRU bar.
