Raining trees
Aug. 28th, 2011 08:10 pmThe last time a hurricane was forecast for us, it felt remarkably similar to being in a light breeze. This one was much more of an event - we haven't suffered any damage and our electricity managed to stay on throughout the entire thing, but... well, have a look at it.

This is where I was going to park the car last night, away from the path of the branches I thought were likely to come down! On reflection, not doing that was a very good decision. In fact, our neighbour parked right in front of the first branch to fall on the right, but we both moved down to the main road where there are no trees early in the morning. And that's just as well, because the bigger one fell shortly afterwards.
