I actually remember that (in the remake at least), my brother solved the Nikztlitslepmur puzzle almost instantly, saying it was obvious because he was unweaving the gold (smug git that he is). But I'd never have got it.
I remember MOTAS - I played it years ago when I was in first year of university, but that was when it had far fewer rooms. It was enough of a challenge at that stage, I've no idea how big it's become now...
