I think even though my stations are twenty steps and five minutes away from work/home, my average walking distance a day is pretty high for around here - someone else lives about three times the distance shown on the map away, and he drives to work.
I had somebody about to become my flatmate, but she found a flat that was slightly nearer the school she was working at.
a) she drives to work b) my flat is a ten minute drive to that school c) who wants to live near their school? d) between my flat and the school is pretty shit. Why would you want to live there?

Now that you point it out, that's a good idea - there are a couple of walls that you can't see very clearly on the map, but there might be a way around there. Except on Wednesdays, where there's a farmers' market and someone always trying to get you to vote for someone else every week.
