Iron Maiden were on Top of the Pops today, so maybe the music industry isn't a hopeless case. They were very well received, actually - much better than last time, when all the teenyboppers raised their hands in the air in half-hearted "horns" gestures and were obviously thinking "Yeah, you rock... I think... Grandad."

And I just finished a four-hour game of Age of Empires (the only RTS that I'm not completely hopeless at) with my brother. Fully upgraded priests are good.

It's bad enough the crap that makes it to the top of the charts these days... but this week's No1 really does take the piss.

I'm glad to say I haven't heard it - I turned it off after the good bit and concentrated on catapulting the Assyrians' docks.
