I suppose it's high time to update this.

Yesterday evening we went down to the beach then along the rocks to get to the cave. It took a lot longer than we expected - there wasn't nearly as much seaweed last time, and the tide was still pretty high so there was less flat land to walk on. People were carrying things as well, which didn't help, but we got there at about seven.

We didn't stay long - lit some candles, discussed how the University would try and sell the cave as accommodation, and Chris informed me that I "sound funny". Sal lit up again as soon as we got there, which annoyed me a bit but I tried to keep things light-hearted by merely attempting to cut off the end of her cigarette with a pair of scissors.

The walk back was a lot more difficult, as the route we took back before was blocked by a large pool of water. Just as well I had my torch handy, but with only two torches (the other being provided by Paul) it was a struggle to get everyone out alive. We ended up leaving via the aquarium grounds.

We waited outside the lower common room to get the TV to watch Knightmare again. It's great when people come in behind us and gasp in amazement as they remember the programme. A girl did so and said she recognised me "from 'Malcolm, David and David'" - now that I think about it I probably met her at the first meetup on Saturday.

I went to bed after that. This morning I missed breakfast for the first time, and was called out by Oli to assist with the spamming of New Hall with Sinner leaflets. I can't believe that I wanted to live there - it's a nightmarish labyrinthine set of twisty little corridors, all alike.

Seriously, if Chris hadn't been there with me it could have been days before I found the way out.

After lunch we got together in Paul's room to read Sarah's smutty novels out loud - apparently I'm rather good at that. Is there no end to my hidden talents? Brought some CDs down for Paul to rip, then watched Undergrads in Richard's room (which is rather good, incidentally) before coming back here and completing this entry five hours after I opened the LJ window.

When I lived in New Hall, I spent the first month hopelessly lost, and after that continued to get lost on a monthly basis.

It is a horrible, horrible place to live.
