I know that you wouldn't expect any less from a band with a name like Helloween, but the introduction of this interview honestly looks like a scene from a mock documentary like Spinal Tap.

At this point Michael Kiske had pretty much divided the band with his insistence on moving towards mellower music (the song in the video being regarded as the breaking point). And the tension that it caused has never been more obvious than in that video - Kiske is the only one looking remotely happy, trying to encourage the others along like an overoptimistic parent trying to make the best of a camping holiday with two bored teenagers. Markus is trying his best to ignore him and look half-asleep, but he had to be placed in the middle to separate Kiske from Weiki, who looks like he's trying to decide how to kill him. (This is an acoustic version sounding even lighter than the album one as Ingo is conspicuously absent, probably having already left to go and fling himself in front of a subway.)

I should also add that I don't really understand German television - though I can understand the occasional sentence, it's very odd in general.

Arg, I guessed wrong! I thought that was Kai Hansen. Which, in hindsight, was a really dumb thing to have thought, since Hansen got out long before Windmill and only made Helloween's most memorable song ever about the experience, which you'd think I could have remembered.

Oh, yes. I suppose I could have easily done that, too. Today's failure is on multiple levels!
