What's this?

Most of my free time recently has been occupied with software-related things that I can't talk about yet, if I can make that sound not too mysterious. But ravenworks has been asking a lot of apartment-related questions recently so I thought I'd present one of my own, and besides, I desperately need to get the picture from my last entry off the top of my site.

We found this just above the skirting board in the corner while moving the furniture around recently. Has anyone got any idea what it is?



It looks like it's for some sort of four-pronged plug - the holes for the pins are arranged nearly in a square but with the left two placed a little closer together than those on the right, and there's a ridge between the wider two. Personally I can't think of any special appliance that I would place in the living room that America would have a unique plug for - perhaps you can.

It looks like it! I was just handed a link to a selection of convertors and the like this minute - it's a fairly old building by America's standards, so that looks very likely. Thank you!

And... hello, by the way :) I saw you added me to your list a long time ago but I never got around to saying anything, and I have to admit I'm still not sure where I know you from!

Oh, I don't believe you know me. Was lead here through the Clickteam forums a while back, if I'm remembering correctly. I just find your Crystal Towers and game-making entries fascinating, don't mind me.

Well, it's good to know where you got to me - and that someone reads those entries :) I actually thought that you must have somehow got to me through one of the, er, artwork sites I visit (icon is a clue) because the stuff on your page is... astonishing, I think is the word!
