I get the distinct feeling that if I hadn't passed it, they would have just turned me around and sent me back in to try again. Nevertheless, it's awful how much of a gamble it seems, assuming the questions are chosen at random from a bank and it doesn't ask certain quotas from certain categories... I had plenty of alcohol-related questions on my own, as well, but they had chosen to phrase them in laughably obvious ways like asking what effects it could have on your driving. (No effect/Improves awareness/Improves vision/Affects adversely).
There was a point early on when I'd already got three wrong out of eight or so and was beginning to consider the possibility that I might fail it - despite the apparently generous pass mark, you really need to get all the actually relevant questions correct, because you'll be guessing on the rubbish ones.
