Otherwise, I've been on a trip through nostalgia today, because somebody uploaded an increasingly frustrated playthrough of the first Crystal Towers. And this is what his Youtube page looks like.

It's a new experience to see it played for the first time, even if it's looking extremely ropey these days.

I seem to attract them somehow, in all areas of the Internet. I'd meant to try his game, as well - his style reminds me very much of Nobuyuki's.

There were altogether too many of them in the game... it was my first large project, and I lost sight of what the levels looked like to players (as opposed to what I knew they looked like as the person who put them together). Later on I seemed to sort of evolve into a floating-islands-in-space level design with not a lot of solid ground, which isn't much fun even though I had tried to always have the gems lead you to avoid blind jumps.
