I've tried to evolve my music out of Modplug for a long time now, but after every period of experimentation I just keep snapping back to my familiar sound and environment due to comfort and experience - and the fact that I couldn't find a guitar library that sounded at all realistic enough to be worthwhile. This... might change that yet.
This is a test of the Shreddage X plugin by Impact Soundworks - compared to the very awkward libraries that I've used in the past, this offers a lot of different articulations and makes them easily accessible without having to set up multiple different instruments for them. It involves spending more time in Music Creator 6 and less in my comfortable, cosy Modplug environment, but I think I might try to port a couple of my songs over to it to see how they sound - and see if this time I stay there.
