Class 6

After the frenzy of activity in chapter 5, this is a melancholy chapter, and it's also an absolutely tiny one at under twenty minutes (the previous record holder having been Class 2 at just over half an hour). Most of it concerns Nageki's past and the reason for the medical centre's existence. These are not funny moments, because there are none of those (well, one) - these are just scene headers in the massive calamity that was his life. Caused by one of my characters. And, irrationally, I feel somewhat remorseful for it.

Might I just say, the contrast against "still putting on some semblance of sanity" Flashback Shuu only serves to make Openly-Hostile Shuu that much creepier by contrast...!

I think the last thing we need is to give Kaye even less of an appearance!

In fact, it's a bit hard to notice since I'm in the background (when several of us speak simultaneously, G+ seems to decide winners and losers at random, and I have therefore lost a few exchanges including this one) but I even offered to let her take over for Nageki in that scene, if she wanted some lines. I interpreted the lack of response to that as a "no, that's fine, go ahead" and did so (and I do mostly more or less like how my Nageki performance turned out, so that's the good news, at least,) but if it turns out that she just hadn't heard me, then now I feel bad. :(

I will never get tired of just how long it takes you to work up the nerve to read that line. Raven's "go on" encouragement in the middle probably made it even worse, huh? I mean, considering the source.

As bad as that was, though, I think the line from the next segment (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yE2XdIrt2w&t=58s) was even worse. I stand by my choice not to read that as it was written.

Ooh, don't be so straight (it's not very often I get to say that!) ;)

No need to feel bad about the revealing mistakes, either - I very rarely cut out any speech from these, only in places where there's a moment of confusion that doesn't go anywhere, and this one got a laugh. In the next chapter, people will be shown that moment where I just completely blank on how to say the word "archetypal" - three times!

Eh, what can I say, there's a limit to how much innuendo I can handle in a given time span, and I'd more than reached it by that point. X_x

But yeah, looking back, I'm not sure why I was hoping that particular flub would be omitted anymore...especially considering how much of a fan of blooper reels I am.

I did notice that when playing it through (if there's a way to make people's lines more distinct, I tend to try it, but I can only really do it for clashes with me and anyone else) - it was a generous offer! Never mind, we'll bring her back to life and go on another happily crazy route like... Ryouta's or Nageki's. Oh.

Speaking of which, I remember saying how 'off' and terrifying the black 1st Class title looked, when coming at it straight from Anghel's route... now, we're far enough in that that feels like the normal mode of operation of the game once again.

She gets enough lines to get by and justify her showing up every week between the rare Teo spirit cameos and (primarily) her role as Leone. However due to how the birds got split up among us, she's the only one who doesn't get their own special tear-jerking heavily emotional moment. (Raven got one via Yuuya, you get two coming up, I had three between two Sakuyas and a Nageki, and Xaq is Ryouta and therefore basically has the entirety of BBL, but really brought it home even by his standards in early class 7.) I can think of no better way of rectifying that for her than doing Nageki's route (one of the two scenes to actually legitimately real-life choke me up when I was doing the original Hato Livestream, if memory serves) but Ryouta's would also be extremely effective, and it's hard to pretend that I need any more main character focus or additional screen time after all this.

I would take Nageki's flashback and nominate class 6 as deserving of the subtitle "The Part Wherein We Discover that Murderbeaks Really Is Just the Worst" but ... well, we've seen the first segment of class 7.

Really, I was getting to a point earlier on wherein I actually wanted to apologize to Raven for all the mean things Sakuya was saying to Yuuya. That just for Sakuya, and much earlier. I can't even begin to imagine how I would feel as the voice of Murderbeaks right around now.

It gets so much worse than I had ever rememebered! Like I said, I had somehow forgotten an astonishing amount of the climax of this game - I remember... what the game does, but not the story that it's telling. I think my brain really had just stopped when watching you boggle at it, and had opened up a hatch and leapt out the back of my head. On legs. Wearing a little parachute and goggles.

And we both had our out-of-character breakdown moments, Sakuya and Shuu...! Mine comes in the next part and it takes almost a full minute for me to pull myself together and carry on. I love the reaction I'm getting from the onlookers, but not from the character I'm talking to...!

We both did? I am having trouble remembering a moment wherein Sakuya's emotional content became too much and I needed a recovery break (I got through the class 5 end scene and the class 7 beginning scene, after all...!) I suppose did completely lose it in the best scene ever (but who didn't?) and that very brief "I swear on my name as a Le Bel--my God that's depressing in hindsight--that I will find who did this to her" moment from earlier.

You said out loud that you wanted to publically apologize to Raven for everything that Sakuya was saying to him, though not in the middle of a line attempt like mine... I think it was in the first scene Yuuya appears in, in class 1.

Oh. Right. I did say that, didn't I. I said it in this thread, even, and the fact that you were replying to that was what even brought this up in the first place. I'm aware that I'm ... a bit of an 11 Wisdom girl at times, but forgetting an issue I myself raised nine hours ago is impressive even by my standards. Like you said, it must just have been because I actually got through the lines and then apologized afterward, rather than derailing in the middle of the scene with it....
