The circle
Jan. 15th, 2013 10:47 pmHaving felt confident enough in the coding of Hatogate now to present it as a sort of weird tribute/sacrifice, I sent a Twitter message to Moa herself yesterday - and she was nice enough to broadcast it on her feed (where the audience seem baffled that it's in English - now you know how we felt with Holidaystar!) With that, giving something back to the architect of all this lunacy, it feels somehow like a loop has been closed, that some circle of madness has now reached its conclusion (although I've been wrong about this several times before).
Someone asked me about the reappearance of my beard at work today. Thanks to this game, all I could think of to say was "It's my winter plumage".

Date: 2013-01-16 03:58 am (UTC)I think the aforementioned circle is more like a Shepard tone. It doesn't have a conclusion.

Date: 2013-01-16 10:10 pm (UTC)(Imagine a donut that isn't actually circular along the circumference going from the outer edge to the hole in the middle, but actually a polyhedron made of infinite flat edges that form a 1/infinity degree angle where they meet...and partway around the donut there's a 1/infinity degree twist so that, if you go a full 360 around the donut, you're on a different flat edge than you were when you started, making the whole thing technically one-sided.)
I think that's an appropriately insane shape to use under the circumstances. I also think I hurt my brain just coming up with a name for it, let alone imagining what it looks like.
