Civ 3 is definitely harder. I think it's the bloody corruption and the fact that beyond about ten squares from your capital(s), you might as well not bother. And that's speaking as someone whose computer game collection is about 60% Civ games. It's the power.
And I hate the flyer too. But hey, I'm just the Charities Campaign PR officer, what do I know?
