There's a patch at http://www.ttdpatch.net/ - it may be considered cheating by some, but it gets rid of so many limitations of the program that it's well worth running it. (Things like removing the limit on the number of vehicles, having bigger stations, being able to build on slopes, and so on, which is just as well, because in the original I tended to run out of vehicles by about 1970.)

cool.. i know the problem.. i was playing TT deluxe and had managed to get every single station connected, then i decided to buy out all my competitors (sneaky way of doing it too!) involves buy 75% in one company then assuming control and buy 75% in another company, continuing this and then going round with a different company and buying the other 25%.. so when you buy the final 25% of comapny A with your company you buy everything at the same time :D
