It's not really been the most active of weeks for me so far, though I did take Justus and Jamie in to Aberdeen on Thursday. I applied for a job in GAME or Electronics Boutique, or whatever they're calling themselves this week. If I don't get that, which is rather likely to be honest, it'll be ASDA or something, the evil multinational corporation. I'd like to try working somewhere smaller, though. Anyway, I'll have to save up for a new computer, this one's getting on a bit. By next year it'll practically be Stone Age.

Back to Aberdeen, though - we watched the new Matrix film, it's the third time I've seen it now. Jamie came to the conclusion that the entire Architect section was just meant to be non-understandable, which would be a nice way to explain it (because I can't), but seems a bit simple. We went to Burger King after that, I've missed those ultra-fattening bacon and cheese burgers. And I'm proud to say I've got my skill back at bowling.

While I was there I finally got around to buying Silent Hill 2, so we've been huddled in a darkened room playing that. It's even more unnerving than the first one, again relying on the psychological stuff rather than delivering huge shocks (although there have been a couple of those as well). The best moment so far has been... well, slight spoilers ahead, but nothing special... running around a hospital for ages trying to find all the combinations and keys for a _very_ locked rusty box (heavy chains around it, multiple combination locks, someone really didn't want it to be opened), and finally getting the thing open at last, only to be told... "There is nothing inside the box." Well, it loses some of its scare value on paper.

I had to check behind me after even mentioning that game. Anyway, last night Justus and I went out with a few friends to the handily situated pub across the road. Unfortunately, after being spoiled by the Union for nine months, I'd forgotten how bad it was. 90p for half a pint of coke, would you believe, and they were playing the music so loud I would be surprised if it didn't wake Chris and Paulette up in Glasgow. After trying to shout at each other to be heard above the music, we left and went down the road. Truly, the Kintore Arms is rubbish.

Wandering down to Oscars, we decided against setting foot in there either, and instead pointed out the neds to Justus again. We then went to a pizza place nearby, which was a bit of a strange experience as it turned out that the owners could speak fluent German. So after Justus ordered they were trying to speak German to all their customers. I can't say the pizza itself was as good as Empire, though.

Well, I'll be questing out to the church coffee morning today. And in the evening, Phil and Dave will most likely be round. Not that those names really mean anything to anyone who reads this, but you did ask for it, you know. Dave's managed to get the new Kamelot album, "Epica", before me. And I'd better get that Andrew Melville Hall "review" written as well.

...well, two out of three isn't too bad. I can't really remember whether I did that joke before, but there it is again in case you missed the hilarity of it the first time round. Anyway, the point of this entry:

Which flock do you follow?

Yes, we're all individuals! (I'm not.) More interesting stuff is below.
