My "summer" job delivering phone books started today - in reality it's only a week long, and I can choose my own hours, so I might be finding something else later on.
When I arrived at the pick-up point, I was told to come back in an hour as the lorry had been delayed. Great start. After loading 46 bundles of books between two cars, my dad and I stacked them in the hall where they're now blocking my brother from getting out of his bedroom.
I delivered a few this evening - I thought I'd only done about 40, but when it was counted up I found 91 of them had been delivered, so it doesn't look that bad. The only difficulties are the morons who put their address as "Nursery Lane, High Street, Inverurie", or streets like Laing Court which seem to be populated exclusively by entirely deaf people. Still, it's nice to explore the bits of Inverurie that I've never seen before.
I'm starting to get more comments on my MODs. Very nice. That reminds me, I should go to www.songarchive.org and comment on some songs there, my "karma" there is at about -512.
