Just back from Aberdeen... T3's rather good for the likes of me - after all, choosing to switch off the brain and enjoy the mindless action rather than concentrate on the plot makes many films more enjoyable. I though xXx was exaggerated and over-the-top when I saw it, but this... of course, one of the major differences is that T3 is a competent film.
I rather like the moralising of the Terminator films as well, though... it's a strange ending, I didn't see it coming. The whole idea that humans may try to prevent Judgement Day, but we're destined to destroy ourselves with the weapons that we created. Still, you've got to laugh, haven't you?
On our way back from the cinema to play pool, a ned (yes, they're all over the place) shouted "Hey, nerds!" out of a car at us. I know he was just being a moron, not making a big thing of this, but... because we don't waste the planet's resources by driving round the roundabouts 400 times a night, don't squander our money on drink and smoke, are generally decent people... we're regarded as "nerds" to be laughed at?
I hate this place.
