A year ago, I thought that this was "my song"... now I think I identify more with the slightly dyslexic "Center of the Universe". Sometimes it's difficult, not being able to forget, but that's nothing a few gallons of alcohol won't solve.
I woke up at seven this morning to drive my siblings to school (actually only my sister wanted to go in the car with me, so maybe I'm not as good a driver as I thought). I'm also getting better at reversing in to the new garage, after a couple of practice runs. Well, the wing mirrors were never that useful anyway.
As for the rest of the day, I'm alone again so I've tried to stay productive rather than sleep - get back in to a sleeping pattern approaching normal. Copied some music for Philip. Re-read some e-mails from "tommy brownie". Looked up "moron" in the dictionary. Actually, that last one proved to be rather interesting - apparently a "moron" is someone who is capable of working under supervision and has an I.Q. of between 50 and 70, compared to an "imbecile" who can only have an I.Q. from 25 to 50. So perhaps I'm being rather generous to him. I'd rather like to share with you my correspondence with this unique individual, but it would be nowhere near as entertaining as
raphx's MSN conversation with GameWack a while ago as I just haven't got the hang of insulting people yet, no matter how much they're asking for it.
I'll just give you a glimpse of the first e-mail: "yo i need a faq fur syphon filter 2 i got the last copy they had last night now ive got em all i also have both ur faqs u got already well write back see ya david by the way how old r u and do u have ur own web page ok talk to ya later" That's it, complete and unabridged.
What a great word "glimpse" is. I'll have to write that one down and use it more often. It's one of those words that sounds like a sound effect, but isn't (as Terry Pratchett pointed out for "bliss".)
I bought "Number of the Beast" the other day. I don't think it's one of Iron Maiden's best albums to honest. Still, it made me realise that the MP3 of "Children of the Damned" that I have is in fact a cover version, and I didn't notice for two years. Don't know who covered it, though I think they did it better than the original.
...Damn it. If there's one thing that University taught me, it's not to read old e-mails and LJ entries. Oh, and some stuff about chemistry and computer science. Well, that's enough inane gibberish for now. I'll be back.
