I just came back from a party at the other end of the town. Let's get this over with: A lot of the time, when I'm here I feel "stuck", making no progress in life, relationships, and so on. Not that the situation was much better in St Andrews, but I'm still looking forward to going back... and this time getting it right.
Enough of that, on to the real subject of this entry - Iron Maiden. Earlier on in the night, I saw their latest music video on Kerrang: Wildest Dreams. (Actually, Mark shouted at the TV all through the adverts until it came on, it was quite impressive.) I'm proud to say that
gr33bo and myself were among the first fans in the world to hear that song when they announced the new album at Donington.
When I heard it live, I thought it a decent track but nothing really special. However, now I've heard the recorded version I realise that I prefer it to anything on their last album, Brave New World (with the possible exception of Blood Brothers, which is very difficult to beat). It sounds more in the style of the classic Seventh Son album. I wasn't planning on getting the new one, Dance of Death, immediately when it came out, but my mind's changed now if the rest of the album's that good. And the music video, which looks like a game of Mario Kart 64 gone badly wrong, isn't bad either.
My "e" key isn't functioning very well. This could be difficult.
